BlockBuild doesn't work with shield in 1st person

Blockbuild is a feature from ClassicPvP (Multiplayer -> ClassicPvP -> Blockbuild)
It's suppoused to work like this:
"Pressing left mouse button while using an item will make you hit and use an item at the same time if the 1.7 animation is enabled"
It works perfectly with:
Food
Sword
Bow
But it does not work with shield in the first person, however it works in 3rd person. It would be nice to fix it to work in the first person
