Chat bug?

Sometimes when trying to type in chat it doesn't type anything you can open the chat but not type anything its not always it happens and feels like it really random when it happens and so far the only fix i found is to restart the game
Operating System: Windows 11
LabyMod Version: 4.1.4+983 snapshot/3ecc537
Minecraft Version: 1.8.9
Installed Addons: VoiceChat, Full Bright, KeyStrokes, DamageIndicator, OptiFine, Flux, BetterPerspective, ToggleSneak, ChatTime

2023-11-21 11:20:02I think I have the same or similar thing. the chat doesn't show anything and typing and sending anything doesn't show. also the typing "_" thing flickers faster than normal

2023-11-21 11:21:50Sounds like the same yes but i have no idea how why its happening is kind of annoying because its happening quite often

2023-12-20 00:56:52This bug occurs to me when I'm in a party on Hypixel and the party leader quickly switches lobbies, sometimes it works again after some seconds, other times it comes back when I go to a different lobby, other times it comes back when I get teleported to start a game, and there's been a few times where I've had to restart the whole Minecraft instance for it to let me type again.
This happens both with the chat in Minecraft and the LabyMod chat section, but I'm still able to use the rest of the Minecraft controls involving the keyboard

2024-01-14 11:19:39I have found a temporary solution that works for me. Press the Ctrl button on your keyboard, and you should be able to type again.
