There is a limit in the LabyChat so that only 100 offline friends will be shown in the list. It will show the 100 friends (which are offline) with which you are friends for the longest, but i would suggest that it will show the 100 friends which are the shortes time offline.

I already had it a few times that a friend messaged me and that went offline, so i had to search him to even be able to read the message.
