you could create, for example, 3 backups.
I got this idea today when I installed several mods at the same time and then I couldn't turn on minecraft, so you could add backups that would copy all the installed mods, settings, etc. and if by chance you couldn't turn on minecraft, you just upload a backup from when minecraft still worked normally for you.
