1.8 sneak animation in 1.9+ versions hight-bug
Description
When sneaking in newer versions of the game, you're able to crouch down to 1,5 blocks. With the LabyMod feature that allows you to set the old 1.8 sneak animation, you actually dont get down to 1,5 blocks, it works eventually if you crouch under a 1,5 block celing but it does not work automatically.
Here are some example pictures, taken with LabyMod version 1.20.4

When trying to get in swim animation in this position, the 1.20 animation will do it without problems, the 1.8 animation refuses to switch to swimming position.

So the feature to change the crouch animation isn't clientside at all, it changes the client itself into thinking it's not low enough to be 1,5 blocks tall by itself.
I hope this description is helpfull, if the is any problem in reproducing the problem, contact me on discord -> @gustxv

2024-03-23 00:22:27No, this is the problem, if you play with the 1.8 crouch setting in higher versions like 1.20, it still behaves like it's actually 1.8, so you actually have s disadvantage. This is client-side but try it yourself. -> start Minecraft 1.20 -> turn on 1.8 sneaking animation and try to swin in a the setup i showed you, it is litterally not only a cosmetic design for your client.
