A simple explanation: the mod was updated during the night and now Forge no longer starts

    Unfortunately you have to reinstall it every time you close the game

    Jep... I extracted the jar from the installer to my downloads folder and wrote a batch script to overwrite the file in the mods folder... works now, but isn't a solution forever

    The crash error came with the update. You need the last usable LabyMod 3 version and you have to set it so that it doesn't do updates (I do it with an addon). But there is also the method of using a LabyMod version that does not have an updater.
