Received chat packet with mussing or invalid signature

After a period of inactivity on a server, I am no longer able to chat because the chat packet c2s has an invalid or missing signature, resulting in being kicked out.
This issue only occurs on servers and not in a single-player world (But it also occurs on LAN servers). Furthermore, the problem seems to be quite random.
I've only had this issue since I started playing on version 1.20.1. Before that, everything was working fine.
I have spoken with a few people who have told me that they are experiencing the same problem in vanilla as well, but only since version 1.20.1 and not before.
