We are trying to make LabyMod available in as many languages as possible through the active support of our community. Many languages are already translated. If your language has not been translated yet, you can contribute here.

We are sorry, but we can't help you in this case. We strongly advise against trading and warn of the danger that comes with moving an item before performing the move. We won't be able to do anything in this self-inflicted case because of that.

Where can I access the LabyMod 4 beta version? 
Currently, the LabyMod 4 is only available as a closed beta version. So far, this is only available to users with a beta key. To receive a beta key, there are currently three possibilities. Either you have already received a beta key, for example at Gamescom 2022 in Cologne, or you can apply on our website (https://labymod.net/#beta). We will select a limited number of further testers from the applicants in the future. Additionally, access to the beta version is available for all LabyMod+ users.

I applied but did not receive a beta key?  
By registering on labymod.net and confirming your email, you are only applying for a chance to win a beta key. You will be informed additionally if you are accepted as a beta tester or as soon as there are new information about LabyMod 4!

What criteria are used to evaluate the applications?  
The evaluation criteria for the applications will not be made public. We have now invited over 10,000 participants to the LabyMod 4 Closed Beta phase via the applications. The invitations have been sent to the email provided in the application. If we need more participants, they will also be informed via email in the near future.

I already have a beta key - where can I redeem it?  
You can redeem your beta key at https://labymod.net/#beta, at the bottom. You will then be informed as soon as the beta version is available for download! 

When will the LabyMod 4 beta version be available for download for everyone?  
We are working hard to make the LabyMod 4 download available for everyone as soon as possible! Whenever there are more information, we will inform you immediately via your registered email.

Why does the development of LabyMod 4 take so long? 
The development of LabyMod 4 has taken longer than we could have imagined at the beginning. With LabyMod 4, we want to offer the best performance, a beautiful, unified and customizable look, as well as easy expandability for developers. If you see a player with an offending cloak, please feel free to report them via the ingame command /capereport NAME. The reported cloak will eventually be removed by us.

If the .exe installer (Windows only) does not work for you, please try our Java installer. If you don't have Java installed please install it here first. If the latest version of Java is already installed, please try to install the program Jarfix (Windows only). If it doesn’t work after following these steps, please contact our support.

You should have at least as many FPS with LabyMod as in Minecraft Vanilla, as long as you don’t have any addons installed. If you have FPS problems, try uninstalling all your addons. Please just leave the addon “Optifine” or "Sodium" in case of the 1.16.5 installed (or install it additionally, in case it is not already installed). If you encounter FPS problems without addons, please check your graphics card settings and check if driver updates are available.

To reinstall LabyMod, you have to delete the following folders out of your Minecraft game directory:

• /LabyMod
• /libraries/net/labymod
• /versions/LabyMod-1.x

Once you have done this, LabyMod will be completely uninstalled and you can download the installer from our download page again to reinstall it.

The different icons all represent a role:

Blue = LabyMod User
Yellow = LabyMod Plus
Green = LabyMod Translator
Dark Green = LabyMod Cosmetic Creator
Purple = LabyMod Partner
Red = LabyMod Staff

"Could not reach our servers": We're currently experiencing some issues. We're investigating and already working on this issue.

In certain cases, problems can occur due to the selected IP address. This can be solved by adding an argument in the Minecraft Launcher. Go into Installations, edit the LabyMod profile and click on 'more options'. A space must be added at the end of the JVM arguments, followed by the following:
-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
Finally, save the changes and restart your game.

General

• Only use Forge mods which are compatible with your Minecraft version.
• Some Forge mods aren't compatible with LabyMod because of overlapping code.
• Forge mods you may want to use could already be implemented in LabyMod as addon or feature.

Launching problems

• Use the right Forge version.
• 1.8.9 -> 11.15.1.1855
• 1.12.2 -> 14.23.0.2512
• You need to select Forge in the launcher. There's no extra LabyMod version in the launcher.

Installing problems

• Accept the installing of Forge when the installer asks you to install Forge.
• If there is no Forge in the launcher, you will need to try installing it yourself. Download the correct version from https://files.minecraftforge.net/ :
• 1.8.9 -> 11.15.1.1855
• 1.12.2 -> 14.23.0.2512

When downloading the jar installer on macOS, you have to open the installier via right click -> open:

Then you can choose your desired version, addons and install location.

If you're running into issues while installing LabyMod, don't hesitate to ask us for help!

Please try activating the following LabyMod Settings:

• Extrude textures
• Load textures asynchronous

After that, you may have to refresh LabyMod:
ESC -> Options -> Skin Customization -> Refresh LabyMod

If you're running macOS and have LabyMod voice chat installed, but no one can hear you, it's because Minecraft does not have permission to access your microphone. Unfortunately, Minecraft/LabyMod can't ask for the permission as other native apps can do.

Method 1 (recommended):
Install our "LabyMod Microphone Proxy" application. This native macOS application runs in the background and redirects your microphone input to the voice chat instance. You can download it here.

Method 2 (advanced):
We have put together instructions for manually adding the needed permission to Minecraft. Take a look here.
Make sure you first read the instructions carefully and follow it exactly. As it's required to go in the recovery mode to disable/enable SIP, it's recommended you open the instructions on a secondary device like your phone or another computer.

With the newest Minecraft Launcher update, the way versions are started has changed.
To fix the installation profiles, you just need to download and run the installer again. Don't worry, your LabyMod & Addon settings will not be lost. You may only need to reinstall the addons from the Addon store.

You can change the order of your emotes on the Dashboard.

LabyCoins are a "currency" in the LabyMod-Shop. However, there are also some other ways for you to earn LabyCoins, for example collecting your daily reward!

LabyCoins which you have purchased can be moved to different users. LabyCoins that you have received as a gift, or won, cannot be moved.

You can manage your Cosmetics and Emotes on our Dashboard.

You can download cloaks from other users here and bandanas here.

You can simply add images to design your own cape and select this cape using the LabyMod Cape Creator. You can access the Cape Creator by clicking on the brush button next to your Cloak in the Dashboard.

Not only that, but you can also create a texture in external programs and upload it on your Dashboard.

To link your Discord account, add Discord to your external services in your Dashboard. If you are expecting a rank (like LabyMod+), it will take a short time until it is assigned to you on the Discord.

On LABY.net you can add data to server pages yourself or change incorrect data!
You can add/edit the following:

• Icons
• Wildcards

All data on LABY.net comes from our server-media Github Repository. 
To edit or add data, please create a pull request.

First you have to fork the repository, then you can add the data. How your files look like and which guidelines they have to follow can be found in our README.md.

We charge a small fee in the form of LabyCoins for moving an item to another account. The aim is to strengthen security and protect users from potential dangers. In addition, the move feature is primarily for private transfers between a main and secondary account. In general, we strongly advise you not to trade, especially on external platforms. For this reason, transfers from or to the original recipient of the item remain possible free of charge and without a limit.

Sadly, not all cosmetics are migrated to our new cosmetic format.
They don't appear on laby.net/in LabyMod 4 as only migrated cosmetics can be seen.

We're working on migrating all cosmetics to the new format asap!

Mojang recently removed public access to the name history API of Minecraft accounts. We store this previously publicly accessible data in our database to reduce load times and significantly improve usability. We received several requests since the change to edit the name history for your own account. We took care of this immediately and added two options to the website. You can now hide names or remove them completely from our database yourself. You can do this in the settings on the LABY.net website in the "Name History" section.

If you have not used the LABY.net website before, you have to register once. This is to verify that you are the rightful owner of the account and you can make the desired adjustments afterwards.

The Daily Emotes are generated randomly every day. We have no influence on it. Therefore it is random and we do not choose the emotes.

If the reason for the error is not clear, please contact our support.

Products should be added to your account immediately after a successful transaction. However, sometimes it can take a while before we receive the payment. If you have not received your product after 30 minutes and the item does not appear in your dashboard, please check if the money has been charged from your account. If it has, please check if you have received an email from us with a transaction ID, then please contact our support team so we can resolve the issue.

We did this on purpose. You could use a discount twice if promocodes reduced the price of LabyCoins. We decided this because of that reason.

Do you want to use LabyMod and ReplayMod together? Just follow those steps to get it working:

1. Install LabyMod with Forge for the Minecraft version you want.
2. Open your ".minecraft" folder and open the "mods" folder. LabyMod and possibly Optifine should already be in there.
3. Download ReplayMod for your Minecraft version.
4. Move the ReplayMod file into the "mods" folder.
5. Start Forge for your Minecraft version using the Minecraft launcher now.

You should now be able to use LabyMod and ReplayMod together.

Any problems?

• Try to remove the BetterPerspective addon.
• Try to remove every other mod than ReplayMod, LabyMod and Optifine from the "mods" folder.

There are two possibilites to locally mute other players from your VoiceChat:

1. Via the player menu (default assigned to mouse wheel click) and the option "Report or Mute Player in VoiceChat"
2. Via the command /voicemute <ingame-name>
